Jordi Cervelló Garriga

Cervelló began studying violin at the age of six, and later undertook advanced studies with Franco Tufari at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan. He also participated in violin performance courses at Siena and in Salzburg with Eugen Prokop. Cervelló has been awarded several prizes and his works have been performed by a number of important ensembles and orchestras: Israel Radio Orchestra, the Ciutat de Barcelona Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Radio Televisión Española, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá, the Spanish National Orchestra, the Young Israel Strings, the Catalonian Chamber Orchestra, the Classic Chamber Orchestra of New York, and the Pro Arte Orchestra of Lodz, Poland, among others. Other than composing, he taught violin and chamber music at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Badalona.
