The dramatic side of Mozart’s genius is particularly evident in the operatic genre, and û in the purely instrumental field û in the form of the solo concerto. His concertante works for wind instruments were generally the fruit of personal commissions. This album is once again the work of Sir Neville Marriner and the Cadaqués Orchestra and its soloists from the wind section, who stood out from the ranks to play in these four concertos.
