This book provides a review of the original tradition of the villancico.
This operation takes as a starting point the collection and analysis of the corpus of the poetry anthologies written between the XVth and the first two decades of the XVIth and proposes a structural description and history of the villancico in the system of the lyrical genres Quattrocento.
