Tirant Lo Blanc, by Antoni Ros Marbà, published by Amalgama

Tirant lo Blanc was composed in 1975 by Antoni Ros-Marbá and Nuria Albó to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Secretariat of "Children's Choirs of Catalonia". The work is based on the eponymous chivalrous romance by the Valencian writer Joan Martorell, the first proto-novel published in the West and a key piece in world literature. The score was written as a cantata for narrator, children’s choir and orchestra and is inspired in some of the best known motifs from the story of "Tirant lo Blanc". In order to broaden the range of its interpretation and reach among the public and music professionals, Tritó is also publishing a version for chamber orchestra.
