Ramon Humet’s music is delicate and subtle, with high poetic imagination. Humet is a hope for the future; he has a fine ear, and a spirit full of light. Jonathan Harvey "Humet crea paisajes sonoros tremendamente evocadores." Pablo González Ramon Humet studied harmony, improvisation and piano with Gerry Weil and Harriet Serr in Caracas, Venezuela. Also he studied composition and orchestration with Josep Soler in Barcelona. He has attended master classes with composers such as Jonathan Harvey, Brian Ferneyhough, Tristan Murail, Salvatore Sciarrino, Walter Zimmermann, Helmut Lachenmann, George Crumb, Beat Furrer, Mauricio Sotelo, Jose Luis Campana,
Jesus Rueda, Benet Casablancas and Joan Guinjoan.
He has won the Olivier Messiaen International Composition Prize, the XXIV Queen Sofia Composition Prize, and the Joaquin Rodrigo - Villa de Madrid Composition Prize. Also he has had different international commissions.
