The Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS), conducted by Erik Nielsen, gave the premiere of Gabriel Erkoreka's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra ("Piscis") yesterday in the auditorium of Palacio Euskalduna Jauregia in Bilbao. The solo part was performed by Alfonso Gómez, a Spanish-German pianist who last year published a recording of the Basque composer's complete piano works on the Kairos label.
