Mariner spent his whole musical career in Barcelona, where he was organist at the Cathedral. His output for keyboard instruments harpsichord and organ links the contrapuntal tradition of the Iberian Baroque organ with the new galant style after the manner of Scarlatti and Antoni Soler.
