The suite we are now publishing belongs to the ballet-pantomime Alphonse et Léonore. This is the only known work by Ferran Sor where the guitar is played with an orchestral accompaniment. This suite put together the fragments of the ballet where the guitar appears. In view of the fact that one of these fragments presents a version for harp,it is included a version the part for the harp from the Serenade to the guitar.
