He offers concerts and recitals regularly in over forty countries, performing in venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Radio France Auditorium in Paris, the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the Lutowslasky Auditorium in Warsaw, or the XXI Century Auditorium in Beijing. His interactions with other musicians have led him to collaborate with performers, conductors, and singers such as Joyce Di Donato, the Casals Quartet, Antoni Ros Marbà, or Iñaki Alberdi among many others.
He has recorded with labels such as Harmonia Mundi, Naxos, Columna Música, Knobloch Music, Ópera Tres, and J.S. Records. Composers such as Sergio Assad, Salvador Brotons, Agustí Charles, Manuel García Morante, Marco Smaili, Gerard Drozd, or Stein Eide have dedicated their works to him.
A Doctor in Art History and Musicology from the UAB, he completed his guitar studies at the Musikhochschule Köln thanks to a scholarship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He won the first prize at the V Infanta Cristina International Guitar Competition (Guerrero Foundation 1989) and at the National Permanent Competition organized by JJ.MM. (1988).
He has been a professor at the Higher Music Center of the Basque Country (Musikene), the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragon (CSMA), and the Higher Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. He is currently a professor of guitar and chamber music at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC). He is also regularly invited to offer master classes and lectures at various musical centers in Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Asia.
