Born in Barcelona in 1963. He made his debut as a conductor in 1990. Assistant to the choir director at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona from 1980 to 1989. Opera coach for the opera season at the Teatro de la Zarzuela from 1990 to 1993. Principal conductor of the Pablo Sarasate Orchestra in Pamplona (now the Navarre Symphony Orchestra) from 1994 to 1995. Principal guest conductor at the French Music Theatre (Imperial Theatre of Compiègne) from 2002 to 2006, principal guest conductor of the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz (Germany) in 2003, and principal guest conductor of the Córdoba Orchestra in 2017 and 2018. His training as a répétiteur has made him one of the foremost experts on lyric theater in Spain. In 1997, he was nominated for the MAX awards for his direction of L. Bernstein's "West Side Story."
