On 29 March, as part of the Nous Sons de Músiques Contemporànies season at the Auditori in Barcelona, the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC), conducted by Juan José Olives, premiered Línies i Plans, a piece written for orchestra by the Catalan composer David Padrós.  This year's Nous Sons season featured the presence of two outstanding contemporary composers: in addition to Mr Padrós, the Briton Jonathan Harvey. The two men share a fascination for Eastern spirit and musical genres, a deep knowledge of musical heritage and a tireless quest for new forms of expression.
