Joan Guinjoan wins the 5th Tomás Luis de Victoria Iber-american prize

Joan Guinjoan has won this award, regarded as one of the most important career awards in Iber-American music. Mr Guinjoan was selected from among 56 composers from 17 countries. From Tritó, our most sincere congratulations. In 2004, this Catalan composer (born in Riudoms, Tarragona) has composed two works, both published by Tritó. His Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra was premiered a few months ago by Joan Enric Lluna and the OBC at the Auditori in Barcelona, and was widely acclaimed by the audience and critics alike. The other work, Verbum, will be staged by the National Ballet of Cuba with choreography by Alicia Alonso
