Dedicated to the composer’s friend Eugenio Tobalina, Mirada is based on a short piece which had been put aside unfinished and consists of original material, made up of recurrent elements, with other more uniform ideas: canons for two voices and a melody for the second voice accompanied by arpeggios, a procedure which is practically a standard for the instrument.
