Apel·les Mestres’s story about friendship and the defence of nature was set to music by Salvador Brotons using an adaptation of the original text. Throughout the story, the beauty of Liliana, the sadness of Puk, the curse of the spider and the song of the frogs are translated into musical motifs. The story is told by Catalan actress Carme Pla, accompanied by leading soloists from the Cadaqués Orchestra. The text of the story in Catalan is included in the CD booklet.
