Here, on one CD, the Cadaqués Orchestra presents the works of three composers linked to each other in their way of conceiving music composition. Montsalvatge was a great admirer of French music and also of Stravinsky and Prokofiev. He borrowed techniques from Stravinsky, and also Ravel, two of the greatest orchestrators in the history of music, and assimilated them into his own style. This album is a milestone in the development of the Cadaqués Orchestra, which led by Sir Neville Marriner solidly defends three works from the international repertoire.
