The opera Goyescas by Enrique Granados remained unknown for many years even though his Intermezzo is considered one of the most exciting moments in Spanish classical music. There was only one orchestral version until the 1990s, which the composer himself intended to re-orchestrate. For the re-orchestration of the work on this recording Tritó commissioned the composer Albert Guinovart. At the moment it is the only CD recording available on the market.
