Full description

In the spring of 1955, the ballet House of birds by Frederic Mompou was performed to wide acclaim in London. It is therefore not surprising that the Catalan composer received another commission from the Marqués de Cuevas, this time to write a piece for his ballet company’s Barcelona tour.
The new theme was an idea by the painter and stage designer Xavier Coll based on Frederico García Lorca’s comedy The love of Amor de Don Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín.
