The invention of the fortepiano, understood as the transformation of the harpischord, whose strings instead of being plucked, were now struck, enabled composers to express themselves by having a larger palette of sounds at their disposal. The posiblity to change the quality and intensity of sound meant that the fortepiano was a decidely superior instrument. The scores presented and displayed in this work are the product of the new harmonic language that appeared in Spain in the 18th Century
