This recording is a good example of the religious music of the nineteenth century in Menorca, a music that, following the trend of the moment is related to the bel canto style also in the religious sphere. The works of menorquines composers are played by islanders, baritone Lluís Sintes and organist Tomé Olives, and recorded in the church of Santa Maria de Maó (Menorca) with its special organ.
