The Tritó label released this album in 2005 with the intention of recording Ludwig van Beethoven’s complete symphonies with the Cadaqués Orchestra. During his career Sir Neville Marriner has made two recordings of these symphonies, one with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields during the 1970s, and the other, the performance with renewed energy presented here.
