FotoRelease of the score of Sinfonía nº 1, "Boreas", by David del Puerto
Commissioned by the 2005 Canary Islands Festival for the Finnish Radio Orchestra, Boreas (north wind) is intended to refer both to who made the commission and to its performer, end points of this trip from north to south. Beyond that the name has no programmatic or descriptive intent. This symphony, approximately 24 minutes long, is divided into four movements which succeed each other without break and share a good number of common elements. In addition all four movements share a roughly ternary structure.
FotoRelease of the score of Circus by Joan Chic
Circus is the first release by Tritó under the Amalgama label. This piece is inspired in the circus world and the beginnings of the seventh art. It is written in a compositional form similar to that of a Dadaist machine that seizes up, like all useless machines. Circus heads up and synthesizes the general feeling of Cromos, the third CD by the composer and violinist Joan Chic (Lleida, 1967). Composer, violinist and educator, he is currently a violin and chamber music tutor and director of the Contemporary Music Workshop of the Professional Music Conservatory of Zaragoza.
