FotoNEW RELEASE: Unstable Surface by Agustí Charles
Unstable Surface, score Agustí Charles dedicated to the conductor Nacho de Paz and his ensemble Diabolus in Musica, is the latest work by this composer published by Tritó. The piece, which premiered in April 2005 in Barcelona, consists of a single movement in which the tone of the different instruments plays a decisive role, governing the harmonic evolution and change. The title is an allusion to the acoustic sensations produced in the listener over the 10-minute duration of the piece.
Tritó to publish Arriaga's major scores
Coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Basque composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga (Bilbao, 1806), over the coming months Tritó will be publishing the composer's most important scores. Slated for release are new editions of Symphony in D, his Nonet, the three string quartets and Overture opus 20. Likewise, we will soon be re-releasing the Cadaqués Orchestra's recording of the Symphony, stocks of which had run out.
Brotons & Mercadal now distributed through Tritó
As of April, Tritó distributes the Brotons & Mercadal catalogue, which features the works of the Catalan composer Salvador Brotons, as well as others such as Anna Cazurra, Joan and Ricard Lamote de Grignon and Manuel Oltra. All of the Brotons & Mercadal classical scores are now available from Tritó, too.
