Four miniatures
The Four miniatures was requested to the composer by the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Tarragona. There are devoted for piano students of intermediate-advanced.
The first piece focuses on attack speed andpresents richness and variety in the central register of the instrument.
The second is a chromatic coral which has a consistent articulation, agreements and the legato in both hands and the pedal.
The third piece is a short study of rhythm where the contrapuntal possibilities of the different pianistic colours take from around and intermittent motif that breaks down as it grows in scope, until it reaches a point of collapse and disappears.
The last miniature is more complex and interplay the different elements that characterize the other three pieces.
