The CD presented here is a reissue of the one released on the Tritó label in 2002.

At that time, the album had been conceived not only as a tribute to the composer in his ninetieth year, but above all as a gift from a group of friends to the Maestro.

It brought together many of the ideas that had emerged in conversations that friends and musicians had with Xavier Montsalvatge
